Mates of State

This band consists of an American husband-wife duo.  They play all kinds of instruments, and have a lot of other instrumental support in much of their music, too.  The style is very melodic pop-rock, with a focus on very clean vocals and awesome harmonies.  Here is a weird music video for a typical one of their songs.  They apparently have tons of albums out and have been around since the late 1990s, but I never came across them until the last few months.  Some of their albums are better than others.  Many of their earlier songs have slightly weird transitions in the middle, which I don't particularly enjoy.  But on the whole, their songs are creative, quite catchy, and extremely well-executed.  This is another one worth checking out.
